Gado-gado (Indonesian Salad with Peanut Sauce)

Ingredients:
  • 1 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 1/2 cup boiled potatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup boiled green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup fried tofu, sliced
  • 2 boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1/2 cup peanuts, roasted and ground
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3-4 red chili peppers, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup tamarind juice
  • 1 tablespoon palm sugar
  • Salt to taste
