Potato Garlic Cooking

Potatoes and garlic are both popular ingredients used in cooking. Potatoes are a starchy root vegetable that are versatile and can be cooked in many different ways such as baking, boiling, roasting, and frying. 

Garlic is a species of Allium and is used as a flavor enhancer in many dishes. It has a strong, pungent taste and aroma. Both ingredients are commonly used in dishes such as roasted potatoes with garlic, mashed potatoes with garlic butter, and garlic mashed potatoes.

To make roasted potatoes with garlic, here's the recipe and how to make it:

Material:

  • 1 kg of potatoes, cut into 8 parts
  • 6 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp parsley, chopped

How to make:

  • Precondition the oven at 200°C.
  • Mix the potatoes with the garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Stir well.
  • Place the potatoes and garlic on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes and garlic are just starting to turn golden.
  • Remove from the oven, add parsley, mix well.
  • Serve hot.

To make mashed potatoes with garlic butter, here's the recipe and how to make it:

Material:

1 kg of potatoes, peeled and boiled until tender

60 g butter

3 cloves of garlic, crushed

3/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp ground pepper

1/4 tsp parsley, chopped

How to make:

  • Heat butter and garlic in a saucepan until butter melts.
  • Add salt, pepper, ground pepper and parsley, mix well.
  • Mash potatoes until smooth.
  • Add garlic butter, mix well.
  • Serve hot.
