Here's a classic recipe for Apple Pie:

Ingredients:

2 pie crusts (homemade or store-bought)

8 cups thinly sliced and peeled apples (about 8 medium-sized apples)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 egg, beaten

1 tablespoon coarse sugar

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust, and dot with butter.

Roll out the second pie crust and cut it into strips. Arrange the strips in a lattice pattern over the apple filling.

Brush the beaten egg over the lattice crust and sprinkle with coarse sugar.

Bake the pie for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Enjoy your delicious homemade Apple Pie!
